Quoting Tom Metro <[hidden email]>: > One of the things that gave me pause when setting up GnuCash was > setting an opening balance on accounts. (Aside from just adding a misc. journal entry.) Actually, that's exactly what the druid does. If you set an opening balance for an account all it does is create a transaction between the new account and "Equity:Opening Balances". If you decide to delay that process then yes, all you need to do is manually enter that same transaction that the druid would have done for you. > Thanks for the added feedback on GnuCash. -derek -- Derek Atkins, SB '93 MIT EE, SM '95 MIT Media Laboratory Member, MIT Student Information Processing Board (SIPB) URL: http://web.mit.edu/warlord/ PP-ASEL-IA N1NWH [hidden email] PGP key available -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
