In an apparent marketing strategy shift, Windows Vista (tm) has been re-branded as "Windows Vista Linux". There was no press release announcement on the official Microsoft website. It would appear this product shift is one of many trial baloons being considered by the Microsoft product team in an effort to reverse dismal market uptake of the Vista product line. An example of this new product marketing is visible at the Newegg.com website. Searching for 'Linux ATI' at newegg.com it shows the ATI video cards are supported on the 'Windows Vista Linux' OS http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&Description=linux&bop=And&SrchInDesc=linux%20ati&Page=1 A computer industry pundit offered the explanation that this seems like a logical progression in the product evolution: "When operating Windows, and looking out at the Vista, all you see is Linux". -- http://freephile.openid.org -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
