Other than being slower than Fios advertisments, it isn't Verizon. >From what I have read when Verizon puts in Fios they yank all the copper and will never again put copper into your house. (They have already depreciated the decades-old copper; the fiber is new investment. They prefer the regulatory environment of the new.) Once you lose your copper you are stuck: Verizon or cable. For an ISP I don't like phone companies and cable companies. At best they are clue-impaired, and from there they range all the way to evil. I, on the other hand, have copper and so still have some options: DSL. I can buy from someone who not only doesn't block any ports, but who also knows what ports are. Verizon doesn't like my having this choice and would like to cut them all off, but that hasn't happened yet. -kb -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
