In 2004 when I dropped my POTS line, I started faxing over my 
cellphone using hylafax/gfax :-)  Give it a try.  Most cell phones 
have an option to send and receive faxes somewhere in the menu.  Now 
when anyone requests a fax from me, I just shoot them...
