I confirmed the firmware version, and repeated the channel scan, which found only the same two channels, so it doesn't seem to be a client software issue. Either the HDHR is defective, or my cable drop is. I'll next try attaching the HDHR ahead of the distribution amp, right at the grounding block, but I doubt that'll make a difference.
