Our client in northern, MA is seeking a Software Engineer who can work with limited supervision and is responsible for the development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications, and network products. Current assignment involved in the design and development of applications for a networking monitoring product. Will focus on designing device drivers in C on Linux from scratch. KEY: Our client is looking for a Senior level SW Developer to write device drivers from scratch using "C" in a Linux environment. Networking experience with IP Protocols ( Ethernet). Essential Job Responsibilities: -Analyze requirements, design, develop, document, test, implement and support modules -Analyze complex issues and develop and deploy appropriate solutions using judgment within defined practices and procedures -Write code, complete programming, develop and execute testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results -Contacts are intra-organizational and may include external customer contacts Requirements: Key Requirements: -At least two years writing general low-level code such as Drivers/Diagnostics and Linux Kernel/Driver experience. -In-depth Linux experience is required -Network/protocol experience will be a huge plus -Solid C programming and analytical skills -Excellent inter-personal communication skills -Minimum level of education: BS in CS, EE or equivalent Regards, Optimal Engineering Partners Inc. is now Symphony Services!
