I found three devices that had the capability I was looking for, Linksys
{wrt350n, wrt600n} and an Apple airport. I ended up purchasing the Linksys
WRT350n for $109 on newegg - that's a really good price for that router, and
I current have and like my Linksys wrt300n. What I wanted/needed was a
router with a USB port so I could plug my external USB HD directly into it
and my wife and I could back our files up with little effort. We only have
laptops and I don't have the space for lots of equipment, so I want to
accomplish what I need with the smallest set of hardware possible. So, with
that said, yes I did want a NAS device - I just wanted the router to handle
it...

USB isn't typically a networking interface, so I assume that's why
:-). Routers are layer3 devices. USB is layer1. It sounds like you
want a NAS device...
