I just ordered a new desktop system as I really don't have the time to build one, and the last time I built one from scratch, it was too obsolete before I finished it :-). The system I ordered is a Penguin Computing Tempest 3000 with CentOS installed. My current system is a Compaq Pressario that originally had Windows ME installed. It was becoming so slow and bogged down, that it was best for me to get my wife a new system since she has an eBay business, and I took this to replace my previous system. (I know I paid more than I needed to). This will be the first time in over 5 years I've had a non-SuSe system on my desktop. Since I use RHEL at work, it should not be any culture shock, and we use Centos on one of our BLU servers. Since CentOS is essentially unbranded RHEL5, some of the bells and whistles might be missing, but those can always be added. -- -- Jerry Feldman <[hidden email]> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 537C5846 PGP Key fingerprint: 3D1B 8377 A3C0 A5F2 ECBB CA3B 4607 4319 537C 5846 _______________________________________________ Discuss mailing list [hidden email] http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss
