It turns out that the passwd.client file needed to be adjusted because of the way that Google has multiple aliases for their smtp.gmail.com host. If I try sending mail to "smtp.gmail.com" it may get handled by "gmail-smtp-msa.l.google.com" So, instead of a single value for the host portion like smtp.gmail.com:greg.rundlett-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w at public.gmane.org:password I used wildcards instead: *.google.com:greg.rundlett-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w at public.gmane.org:password *.gmail.com:greg.rundlett-Re5JQEeQqe8AvxtiuMwx3w at public.gmane.org:password -- visit http://freephile.com today skype/aim/irc/twitter freephile home office 978-225-8302 greg-SfI3QVg0eaJl57MIdRCFDg at public.gmane.org
