I have a question regarding the "supported" platforms of an application. I'm looking to install Infobright's Community Edition (ICE), which their site states is compatible with the following 64 bit distributions: 1. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 2. Debian 'Lenny' 3. CentOS 5.2 I'm currently running a 64 bit Fedora 9 machine and just installed Oracle 11g on the machine. Prior to the install I needed to change /etc/red-hat-release to "redhat release 5" so the installer would continue past the OS check. My question is what, if anything, should I be concerned about to install ICE. Is it just something I should try and see what happens? Are there major differences between their supported platforms and fedora 9? TIA. Tim Callaghan
