F10 Install from HD

In the past I have made a boot disc to initiate the install 
from HD on the local box. Is there a way to point grub to 
the boot media and then just select that option from the 
boot menu? I would think you would just copy the boot image 
media to a directory that grub can point to. I might give 
that a try even w/o advice as the worst that could happen is 
the boot would fail.
