There have been some interesting articles in Linux Journal recently that I'd like to have as topics at future BLU meetings. One is the YubiKey (www.yubico.com), a one-time-password keyfob that looks like an interesting low-cost alternative to SecurID tokens. The company is based in Europe, so it's not feasible to ask them to send a speaker. Another is Eagle Mode (eaglemode.sourceforge.net), an interesting alternative graphical user interface for browsing a filesystem. It's strictly for local filesystems, but I've found it works well for browsing remote filesystems via VNC. There were several articles on Ajax development, about toolkits like jQuery, Dojo, and Google GWT, and an upgrade to Rails called ActiveScaffold. Can anyone recommend speakers I could invite to give talks on these topics? I'm especially interested in an a talk about the YubiKey, including discussion of how secure it is in practice when used as part of a multi-factor authentication process. Ideas for additional topics are also welcome. -- John Abreau / Executive Director, Boston Linux & Unix AIM abreauj / JABBER jabr-iMZfmuK6BGBxLiRVyXs8+g at public.gmane.org / YAHOO abreauj / SKYPE zusa_it_mgr Email jabr-mNDKBlG2WHs at public.gmane.org / WWW http://www.abreau.net / PGP-Key-ID 0xD5C7B5D9 PGP-Key-Fingerprint 72 FB 39 4F 3C 3B D6 5B E0 C8 5A 6E F1 2C BE 99
