A "high performance" embedded Linux computer built in a "wall wart" form factor: Designer http://www.marvell.com/featured/plugcomputing.jsp Manufacturer http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/p-22-sheevaplug-dev-kit.aspx photos and block diagram: http://www.globalscaletechnologies.com/t-sheevaplugdetails.aspx Article http://news.cnet.com/8301-10784_3-10170648-7.html The development kit sells for $100. Built using a custom embedded CPU. Odd that it has USB and Ethernet ports, but despite the form-factor, doesn't integrate power-line Ethernet. It includes a gigabit Ethernet interface, so maybe they didn't feel the power line interface was fast enough for their intended market. (The manufacturer mentions media server as one of the intended applications.) Uses only 5 watts. Might make a good low-end NAS or Asterisk server. -Tom -- Tom Metro Venture Logic, Newton, MA, USA "Enterprise solutions through open source." Professional Profile: http://tmetro.venturelogic.com/
