What's the correct method of setting up your environment using the .Xdefaults like file. the reason I ask is that for a long time I've put all my emacs* configuration settings in an .Xdefults file in my home directory, all was good. But now, my .Xdefaults file is being ignored when I log in. What's the new .Xdefaults file where I should put all my X11 configuration settings? Thanks in advance. Steve.
