In the case of a > lightning strike, all 3 drives will have been cremated :-) Yeah, the one part most people forget when using USB hard drives to back up to: Disconnecting when not in use. If they're disconnected, pretty much the only thing that can go wrong is house fire. Even then you can grab the drive and run.
