I have various Palm devices for years, and have used Jpilot on Linux. My Blackberry can be backed up on Linux using Barry. Most of the Palm devices I used required some minor tweaking on Linux, but the pilot libraries tended to be reasonably good. I don't recall a major sync screwup. I do sync my Blackberry at work, and I can sync with Google Calendar, but sometimes I end up with duplicate entries or occasionally have a new calendar get lost on the first sync after I entered it (Windows). But, for the most part, I have been happy with my devices. I did not buy a Linux based PDA because of the lack of sync. I don't know what my next device will be, but possibly a Palm-Pre, iPhone, or Blackberry. I like being able to access the Internet from my Blackberry as well as the built-in GPS. These were the major reasons I switched from Palm. --=20 Jerry Feldman <gaf-mNDKBlG2WHs at public.gmane.org> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 537C5846 PGP Key fingerprint: 3D1B 8377 A3C0 A5F2 ECBB CA3B 4607 4319 537C 5846
