There is a serious kernel bug, but fixes should be coming down the pike very shortly. While this is a serious bug, it is apparently only exploitable from the inside. This is what Thomas Charon sent to glhlug yesterday. http://blog.cr0.org/2009/08/linux-null-pointer-dereference-due-to.html Here is the Red Hat Bugzilla entry: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=3D516949#c10 It's been fixed, but has not yet been released. kernel-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11 has been submitted as an update for Fedora 1= 1. http://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/kernel-2.6.29.6-217.2.7.fc11 =20 Ubuntu http://www.mail-archive.com/ubuntu-bugs-nLRlyDuq1AZFpShjVBNYrg at public.gmane.org/msg1630833.html I did not see it in OpenSuSE's web site yet. --=20 Jerry Feldman <gaf-mNDKBlG2WHs at public.gmane.org> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id: 537C5846 PGP Key fingerprint: 3D1B 8377 A3C0 A5F2 ECBB CA3B 4607 4319 537C 5846
