The entire length of the eastern section of Amherst Street is currently one-way running west -- that is, you can legally go from Wadsworth St to Ames St but not the other way. It MIGHT be legal to turn east (right) from the E51 parking lot but it certainly is not legal to turn east from Hayward St (I was there to visit MIT Medical recently and saw a sign saying so). The usual method of getting to the parking lot by taking Memorial Dr to Wadsworth St works. If you're coming from inside Cambridge and driving down Main St you must continue to Wadsworth St rather than turning at Ames St, which also means that if you're on Broadway you must shift over to Main St at Ames St.
