We are searching for a Principal Software Engineer to help drive the
development of our web services architecture and platform. The ideal
candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience and knowledge
around designing, implementing and supporting a high-volume web services

Actions and Results

    * Hands-on involvement in the architecture, design, development,
integration and deployment of Web applications and web services
    * Team participation in all aspects of Software Development Life Cycle.
    * Mentoring developers
    * Assist customer support and respond to production issues as necessary
    * Assist in the creation and development of cross-application
architectures
    * Work with Product Management, other software development teams, QA
and Operations in support of full product lifecycle.

Skills and Experience

    * B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
    * A minimum of 8+ years experience developing web-based applications
    * Current experience developing software systems using JAVA and J2EE
technologies, especially Servlets, JSP's and open source libraries
    * Strong project leadership skills
    * Strong software design skills
    * Strong understanding of the software development process
    * Direct experience working with relational databases  (Oracle, DB2)
    * Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    * Strong self-motivation
    * Commitment to deadlines and willingness to meet the needs of 24x7
environment
    * Experience with the design and implementation for scaling large
systems is highly desirable.
