1.	Required skill-set.: Position Summary: Linux Administrator=20

	Daily tasks include:=20

	*	Maintaining all Linux based servers. =20
	*	Ensuring patches are tested and up to date.=20
	*	Managing the OpenLDAP directory and adding / removing
users as required.=20
	*	Updating home directories and hard links.=20
	*	Monitoring rsnapshots and rsync backups and mirrors. =20
	*	Managing and monitoring Zimbra email systems and Nagios
monitoring system.=20
	*	Responding quickly to issues reported by Nagios and
updating scripts for any new systems added.
	*	Monitoring the space on the NAS, home directory servers,
and shared file servers. =20
	*	Monitoring and manage VPN connection from clients to the
network.=20
	*	Performing TCP/IP troubleshooting and analysis to ensure
uptime as well as the DNS environment.

	Additionally, job responsibilities include monitoring and
managing the Windows XP workstations and shares on the Windows 2003
server. Working with the remote team and assisting in preparing the
network and server environment for changes and integration. Modifying
and creating shell scripts as necessary to assist in the automation of
production, QA, and test builds for both the Linux and Windows platform.
Managing the wireless and wired network for connectivity. Monitoring for
performance, capacity planning, and tuning of network resources.
Connecting printers, scanners, and other computer peripherals to both
Linux and Windows based systems.*Ability to work in a 24/7 environment,
IE: after hour and weekend On Call rotation.
