old thinkpads

Slightly off topic but I'm looking for a laptop as well. An old
thinkpad would be great. My 5 year old niece is showing a strong
interest in computers (she hates sharing the mac with her father) so I
told her I'd get her a laptop for Christmas. We agreed that it must be
pink and run Linux. I would also like it to be inexpensive. First
thought was used thinkpad (I could paint it or put a big sticker on it)
or netbook.

Thanks for any tips.
