My client is a healthcare technology company committed to advancing
personalized medicine through validated predictive solutions delivered at
the point of care. It is their mission to embrace the principles of
personalized medicine and help realize its promise.  The Company is
expanding its clinical development footprint and is seeking a Software
Engineer to help spearhead the R & D efforts in oncology and cardiology.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Design, the software engineer is
responsible for the development of the Advanced Decision Support platform. 

Responsibilities

.         Implement an effective team-oriented product development process
using agile development.

.         Responsible for the successful delivery of timely software product
releases.

.         Implement project plans and development schedules in a
cross-functional team environment

.         Proactively manage and communicate project status and risks.

.         Set realistic expectations and closely monitor, align, and
communicate progress.

Essential Requirements

.         BS in Computer Sciences or Engineering

.         Agile development environment experience with Extreme Programming
(XP)

.         3-5 years of Ruby on Rails programming

.         Experience designing a Web application

.         Medical Terminology experience

o        UMLS Archetypes

o        HL7 RIM

Desired Skills (but not required)

.         Software programming at a Healthcare IT company

o        Ability to provide judgment in developing clinical products and
underlying workflows for effective and accepted commercial utilization.

.         iPhone application experience or applications for handhelds
