Looking for replace aging Cisco 4006 core switch

Hello Blu,
I 'm looking for some leads on replacing a Cisco 4005 core switch-

    Current status is :

1ST Card 4 fiber connections and 4 trunk twisted pair connections on the 1ST Card- current speed 100 M fiber and 1 G TP

( looking to increase speed to 1 to 10 G on all ports ) these are trunks

The 2nd and 3 nd cards are 24 port TP 100m .. ( looking to increase speed on the back plane min- 1G best to 10 G)

    Dual power supplies

    VLANS are not required -

I ' ve looked around and see people like HP equipment as an alternate to CISCO - based on price and flexibility -

Looking to information from others who have made such an upgrade.

Thank you,
Stephen
