Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10 upgrade

I didn't do the upgrade, but that's because VMWare Workstation isn't
compatible with 9.10 yet.  So ... For me, that's one show stopper.

I would encourage you to make a backup of your system, and just go for it.
No matter what kind of feedback you get here, or read on the internet, the
surest way to know you get what you want is precisely that.  Backup & try.
