Back in the spring of 1999, Linus gave a talk at Fermi National Laboratory. This is the premier high energy physics laboratory in the world, back in 1999. Today, that baton has been handed over to the Europeans when they turned on the Large Hadron Collider. Be that as it may, I flew up to Chicago to attend Linus talk and, of course, wrote it up. That article generated a huge amount of traffic on my web server when slashot posted it on its web site. I've resurected that article on my new web site. For those of you interested in a bit of Linux history check out... http://stephenadler.org/tiki-index.php?page=Linus+at+FNAL+-+Spring+Comdex+1999+-+Linux+Global+Summit Cheers. Steve.
