There's boxbackup: http://www.boxbackup.org/ which sounds like it will do what you want. A friend of mine evaluated it for cross-basement backup purposes (i.e. you can put a disk in my basement server if I can put one in yours) a year or so ago and said it looked promising but was pretty buggy. YMMV, etc. -ben -- failure is just a good excuse to start again more intelligently. <henry ford>
