Drive disposal

I (still) have that pile of 60 servers, 20 desktops, etc that I stacked up
along the main hallway of the IT department here to remind everyone (including
the CFO who wants it out of here) every day that we need to find them a new
home.

It feels like a shame that I'd have to pony up $10,000 to one firm to destroy
the disk drives and then pay some lesser amount to another firm to haul away
the husks of servers left behind.  But at this point that's all I can think of
to do:  in two phone calls I can deal with the problem, using OPM (other
people's money) to solve a problem that otherwise amounts to a lot of
busy-work for one of my team members.

Has anyone *actually* found an organization who can recycle moderately large
numbers of rack-server (or even older desktop) machines that are still
serviceable but are no longer practical (in part because they are electricity
hogs)?  Every month I wait, the machines depreciate even more.
