Google to Open-source VP8 for HTML5 Video



We interrupt this flame fest for some iPad-related* (good) news.

The move to an "unencumbered" video standard for the web is reportedly
closer to reality b/c Google is open-sourcing the technology behind their
$125 million acquisition of On2.
