The whole point of smbusers is that you can have different usernames for linux and windows, but on the local filesystem, for the purposes of keeping permissions correct, they get mapped to the correct local (linux) name. >From http://www.nongnu.org/lpi-manuals/lpi-201/html/ch05s02.html: > Not all users need to be listed in smbusers.
