Finding lost keys

Hello:

I have lost my keys again, the metal kind. There is a 16 month old
child in the house, and she has already put the Nokia N82 in the trash
while I was not looking, which motivated me to buy the Nexus One. I
could buy a medal detector to search around the house, but there is an
RFID FOB thing on my keychain for the gym. Is it possible to find the
FOB with some source of radio transmitter/receiver thingie? Someone
may have devised a FOB sniffer. Anyone hear of such a device?

Doug
