What I do is go to the page, pause it in the browser, wait for it to finish downloading, and then go to my terminal, run: ls -lt /tmp/Flash* And then run: mplayer /tmp/FlashXXXXXX mplayer ALWAYS plays the video just fine. Flash never does.
