odd font problem? ubuntu 10.04 lts. + vid meeting?

hi all,

i'll be browsing and this will happen:

and the more you click around the crazier things will look.  only thing
that seems to help is restart.  happens about once every other week.
nothing interesting in the logs.  thoughts?

also, did anybody video tape the last blue meeting?  i would love to
check it out.
