some months ago i did an on-line upgrade on my asus netbook from ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04. it went smoothly with zero problems. yesterday i did the same upgrade on my panasonic cf-50. the login screen looked fine, but when i went to log in, gnome wouldn't come up -- just a blank screen with a bit of flicker. logging in remotely works fine. what are my options? how would i best reinstall just gnome? any suggestions welcome. ole dan j. daniel moylan 84 harvard ave brookline, ma 02446-6202 617-232-2360 (tel) 810-454-1823 (fax) jdm-LPA1KyJyIuz1P9xLtpHBDw at public.gmane.org www.moylan.us [death to html bloat!]
