I saw a thing on the web that is topical:

It requires root, it runs a whole dang Ubuntu as an application inside a 
chroot, VNC in to the GUI, ssh in to a command line, console is in the 
chroot interface. I think.

I also saw a video: it is clunky to use VNC the keyboard, and a touch 
screen is not the same as a mouse (mouse-over anyone?), but it is damn 
cool.
