At last year's annual BLU PGP keysigning, Alex Brennan gave his traditional talk, but as I recall he was somewhat disenchanted with PGP. If I'm remembering his statement correctly, he said something to the effect that PGP had been an important fight for our fundamental rights, but that we've already lost the fight, it's over, and it's no longer safe to use PGP in the current political climate in America. What does everyone think of this? We have traditionally held the BLU keysigning events every September. Should we continue to do so, or are most PGP users giving up PGP for fear of government persecution? -- John Abreau / Executive Director, Boston Linux & Unix AIM abreauj / JABBER jabr at jabber.blu.org / YAHOO abreauj / SKYPE zusa_it_mgr Email jabr at blu.org / WWW http://www.abreau.net / PGP-Key-ID 0xD5C7B5D9 PGP-Key-Fingerprint 72 FB 39 4F 3C 3B D6 5B E0 C8 5A 6E F1 2C BE 99
