Best, Jeff POSITION #1: Linux C++ Contractor This position is to work on a high-capacity Linux-based video recording platform. Extensive Linux and C++ development experience is required. Experience with porting embedded applications to different flavors of Linux, performance tuning, installation, packaging (e.g. RPM), storage optimization, and database optimization are nice-to-haves. The successful candidate should have several years experience building embedded products on Linux platforms. POSITION #2: Full-time Linux IT Administrator ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Systems administration Ensuring backups and data integrity Planning and deploying systems and infrastructure Ensuring systems and infrastructure are consistent with company policies and systems Supporting infrastructure for test systems including cameras, recording devices, network setups, performance measurement, etc. Supporting development systems including subversion, TFS, and virtual machines Assisting / advising other development teams on tools, infrastructure, and processes Assistance to the corporate IT group, including non-Linux platforms (e.g. Windows) and various corporate systems (Exchange, Active Directory, etc.) Documentation and reporting CRITICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS ? Bachelors of Science in Computer Science or equivalent ? Minimum 5 years Linux IT experience ? Minimum 3 years experience working independently to manage Linux systems and set IT policy ? Experience with Linux development systems (e.g. subversion, CVS, etc.) ? Experience with standard Linux backup systems ? Familiarity with Windows systems administration ? Familiarity with LDAP and Active Directory ? Past development or QA experience a plus ?
