My friend bought a boat, then ended up suing the seller. The case took 9 years. Of course, one of the delays was because the judge died. The SCO vs. IBM took a very long time because there were an awful lot of documents, experts, and other things, and eventually got stayed by SCO's bankruptcy filing. The SCO vs. Novell was much faster, but then it got stayed. One of SCO's tactics was to bully Linux users into paying for licenses. One of their big mistakes was not charging for the comedy value. But, there was real risk to Linux during this period. Courts are very unpredictable. Had SCO prevailed, there would have been a very different picture. - -- Jerry Feldman <gaf at blu.org> Boston Linux and Unix PGP key id:3BC1EB90 PGP Key fingerprint: 49E2 C52A FC5A A31F 8D66 C0AF 7CEA 30FC 3BC1 EB90 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.11 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iQEVAwUBTl6WjHzqMPw7weuQAQKmVQf/TGjhevi6s7CogqcvNQ9uqvpmhTsjW+4w rxRo7OPK5dXQZloXLvW8ZcEHOU0BMBHojsET78Kk+HYq41n0KW5n27oIm68HRLgH 1dWSCefC7JJ4Q1psdxSmF1m+7q71DCDYAIcRhrk5ZeA4t7WzZVMDtv7N+yVJKgLM MIRfY1vUFDLNftizkLgwK+nkL4pQqXP2hA6YS9TNREPpihyoP7h6WbrsnEpm81z1 l33a/iuYWfBJ9EOHJpS2Zlvxn8YWGPrRuOGTue66EEOJe+WZv2qg+rJxPpEo0AJt l+feKGLxxZwmRtQ20IjsBiK9to41Y7lkHX5vuMUWDZkXV1fepjyZIQ== =cVTl -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
