It is inconvenient that the password hashes are different, but we live with that. What is the alternative? I'd like to convert all the clients to Linux, but short of that how does one mount Unix storage on Windows PCs? Is the MS Gateway for NFS better? Do you have experience with it? There is some information about it here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb463203.aspx http://www.softpanorama.org/Unixification/SFU/sfu_nfs_implementation.shtml but I have never heard of anyone using it.
