[The first of a series of posts on Linux desktops.] We've discussed the idea of using Mint as an alternative to Ubuntu here before, but how many of you have actually done that? The "Open Source" LinkedIn group ran a poll on what OS its members are using on their desktops: http://www.linkedin.com/groupItem?view=&srchtype=discussedNews&gid=43875&item=88261084&type=member&trk=eml-anet_dig-b_pd-ttl-cn&ut=2IixEOJ4H0SR41 With about 500 votes, the results are: 33% Ubuntu 26% Windows 20% Other Linux 13% Mac 5% Linux Mint So Mint still has a ways to go to catch up. -Tom -- Tom Metro Venture Logic, Newton, MA, USA "Enterprise solutions through open source."
