Linux Developer Location: Stamford, CT Job Description Our customer is seeking a very strong Linux Engineer to work in an exciting company experiencing tremendous growth and state of the art technology. They are the leader in development of hi-reliable systems for digital transmission by wire & wireless terrestrial networks, satellite, the Internet, and fiber optics and create the complex algorithms and products needed for ultra-reliable, secure, multicasting/datacasting of files and live streaming video on the next generation of wire & wireless networks (3G/4G -- WiMax/WiFi/DVB-H, etc.). Qualifications Skills and Qualities Extensive experience of Linux development and integration and testing Extensive knowledge of Linux programming, multi-thread programming, RPM packaging, MVL, embedded distributions including open embedded tool chain and build root Script and coding skill Well versed with cross compiling, interface and web development Excellent analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills C++ Some experience with at least several of the following Performed system configuration, testing, debugging, troubleshooting and performance reviews Replaced the existing build systems existing with new build systems Created diagnostic tools for Linux Palette software Developed database management applications for various clients on Linux platform Provided intranet and server solutions for corporate clients Developed a support module for system integration and performed server upgrades Documented development status and completion status Developed various business applications for corporate clients such as Fortune 500 corporations, telecom, entertainment and media companies, public safety and military. Created data integration and encryption software using Linux storage Developed and installed patch updates for commercial applications and performed monthly performance for the same 5-10 years of experience Masters or doctorate is preferred but not required Additional Information Very competitive salary plus comprehensive benefits package and stock option plan.
