I've had great success with T-Mobile prepaid, Tracfone, and Page Plus Cellular (uses Verizon's network). I like Page Plus because you can register just about any Verizon (and some Sprint) phones with them, and you get Verizon's coverage, all for var cheaper than Verizon itself.
