It's a bootable Linux disk specifically for fixing grub when installing
another OS (whichever OS could I be talking about?).

They really thought this one out.  It even has an option of mounting a
thumb drive and backing up the files to it before it overwrites them.  I
just used it and it worked great.

If you want more in your emergency boot disk, this program is also
included in ubuntu-secured-remix
