In case this is helpful... I use Verizon for FIOS and super-basic TV, and AT&T for copper phone service (local & long distance). Nobody has ever pushed me to switch, other than the usual junk postal mail. Granted this is probably not the cheapest route ($65 Verizon and ~$95 AT&T per month) but it Just Works.
