What I posted are the defaults for a stock Debian installation. I'm not familiar with Ubuntu's defaults other than that they didn't work on the one Ubuntu server that I have so I changed them. Ubuntu has something of a reputation for having non-working spool permissions so I'm not alone in this. -- Rich P.
