Bill, I am interested in what you choose, and your notes. If it's a small project a directory for notes, media, and collaboration as part of a repository, and email, can be be enough for collaboration. Also I've not worked with gantt in redmine, Maybe it's possible to use Mr Project / Planner as Mike suggested, together with it, or at least prime it with a nice list of tasks.
