It should be fairly easy to make sure the copy is bootable just like the original.

- Next by thread: [Discuss] My HP Pavilion's HD bit the dust and it is 13 years old, so instead of replacing the disk again, I would like a new laptop. But I would like to pay <$300. I do not expect the best or the biggest. I have been told that some computers do not like linux, so those are out but I do not know which they are. Any new or relatively new computer will probably be better then my old one (1G RAM, 160G HD, 1.6 GHz). I would like to get soon (before the next InstallFest, 2015-06-13a). Then I will look into an external HD for backups. Please, help.
