[Discuss] Cross platform Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware

Hello all,
I have used both ClamAV and Sophos on my Linux Distros. 
Sophos on my Windows clients. 

ClamAV is Opensource. But Sophos is a purchased license.

I would like to say that my choice was the result of exhaustive research but in reality NewEgg was offering a deal of $15 for a three user license.?
