They seem to generally have good build quality. Better QA than the big distributors maybe? > System76 is peachy. They don't design their hardware, but they specify it and maintain drivers for everything that they sell. They don't have any low-priced laptops, but if you are already planning on buying a $750-1500 laptop, you'll get decent hardware quality and good support. -dsr-
