Is this a printer/scanner that you are trying to scan with, or is it
just a printer to which you're ting to print images already scanned in
xsane?  Or, some other thing?

If you are trying to print, can you print to the printer from the
command line (i.e. with lpr somefile)?

Is it possible you have iptables set up as a host-based firewall on
the non-working PCs, and it is blocking the IP/ports used by the
printer?
