Are they usually kept powered up? I've had several power supplies die upon their next power cycle due to bad capacitors. Especially ones made in the 2000-2010 timeframe. The fix is fairly easy--replace the capacitors. https://www.badcaps.net/index.php?s=8a171dc6a7f3d85d47bec09d805f0cb7&pageid=causes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_plague A surge protector or UPS won't help with this problem, other than to delay it until the next actual power cycle.
